Sow a seed to Love Foursquare Church Manchester

He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness. (2 Corinthians 9:10 ESV)

My wife and I met when we were 15 years old. Ruth was brought up in a Christian home along with her 2 brothers. I grew up with my sister in an house that did not know the Lord. I started to spend a lot more time with Ruth’s family and I began to attend the fellowship where Ruth’s father is the Pastor.

Through the teachings there I found the Lord Jesus and accepted him as my Lord and Saviour. I was then also baptised the very same year in a friend’s garden pond. We got married in the June of 2014 where we celebrated in the same garden I was baptised. A few years into our marriage we were hopeful to start a family. However, Ruth was unable to become pregnant and the doctors had advised that it was due to polycystic ovaries and that was causing her have limited menstrual cycles throughout year which became frustrating.

After meeting Pastor Joshua Olumefun on the way home from work one day, He sat alongside me on the upper deck of a busy bus and began to talk to me about the Lord Jesus where I listened intently and then later explained to him that I was already a born again Christian. I believe that there are no coincidences in the Lord and that he put on the same bus that day.

Pastor Joshua and his family lived very close to our fellowship and they soon began to attend some of our services where he was asked to speak. We became good friends in the Lord and have supported Pastor Joshua’s ministry for a long time and were amongst the first attendees to join the Global Bible classes where people from different countries meet up and listen to what the Lord places on Pastor Joshua’s heart.

During the Hope Alive conference on the 1st of August 2020, we joined the meeting that evening and the topic for discussion was based around faith. Pastor Joshua went through the different teachings on faith and as he was bringing the meeting to a close. The Lord put on his heart to ask everyone in the meeting to pray for Ruth and for the full restoration of health concerning her inability to become pregnant.

One of the areas that was spoke upon that day was in the scripture of Hebrews. It states in chapter 11, verse 1: ‘Now faith is the substance of things hoped for. The evidence of things not seen.’ Immediately after that meeting we began to thank the Lord for the child that he has waiting for us. We went out that evening and bought an outfit for our baby. Then on the 4th of August Ruth received her second menstual cycle that year and then was consistent for the first time each month.

During this time we shared with other Christians and non-believers that God had healed Ruth and that we would soon become pregnant. In Mid-December 2020, Ruth became pregnant and by God’s grace we were expecting our first child. Ruth went on to have a very healthy pregnancy and though the prayers and support of family, friends and Pastor Joshua Olumefun’s Ministries, Ruth gave birth to Elijah James Webb on the 21st of August 2021. Elijah is now 18 months and is truly a blessing from God.

We would like to take this opportunity to thanks both Pastor Joshua and Peace Olumefun for their support and friendship over the past few years and we are very excited to see what God has planned for their future.
